My next big work is to be a re-imagining of a page from the Sanju-rokunin Kashu, Collection of 36 Anthologies. This is one of my favourite pieces, an autumn themed piece that I have decided make into a spring-themed one.

The background paper is plain Japanese metallic paper that I have been very lucky to get. I have used it to recreate the block print of the original. And I used a template to create the shape of the blue piece.
The tree will be a cherry blossom tree, the trunk is drawn in ink. I am in the process of experimenting with paint so that the blossoms are opaque against the tree trunk.
